Music in Liapades. (Rock Concert)

   On Saturday ( 18th July) there was a rock concert in Liapades at one of the pool bars. The atmosphere and performance was excellent. The band are famous in Greece, from Thessaloniki, and the local crowd really enjoyed the show. They played for over an hour and then the lead singer took a break, during this time the keyboard player took front stage and then the drummer sang several blast from the past such as Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water". The lead singer then was back on for more of their own music. A fantastic night in a fantastic location. First time I have ever been to a concert where the stage was over a swimming pool. Well done Liapades for putting on such a great show.

These events are held throughout the summer and at their height are held about one every two weeks.  They seem to get the biggest Groups around and on some occassions attract over a fifteen hundred people from around the Island.

For us older ones it gets a bit noisy but it only happens once during our holiday.
